About EECE, IIT Dharwad
The department of Electrical Engineering is established in the year 2016. The department runs undergraduate (B. Tech.) and postgraduate (MS by Research, Executive M.Tech. and Ph.D.) programs to cater to the ever-demanding needs of technical excellence in all areas of Electrical Engineering such as Communications and Signal Processing, Integrated Electronics and Circuits, Power Systems & Power Electronics, and Control & Automation.
World-class lab infrastructure is being developed to provide ample opportunities for students and researchers to learn and innovate. The department has distinguished faculty, all holding Ph.D. degrees from renowned institutes in India and abroad. The faculty of the department has been constantly carrying out research on many cutting edge technologies and regularly publishes in IEEE and other top international journals. The department also undertakes many research projects sponsored by both the government and the industry.

Activities
- Department undertakes consultancy and other forms of collaboration with various organizations.
- A number of sponsored research projects have been completed and others are ongoing as part of the Department’s continuing industry-oriented project efforts.
- Department organizes workshops, seminars and symposia in various specialized fields with participants from all over the country.
- Department also runs summer/winter schools for the benefit of teachers of other engineering colleges and professional engineers.
