We have an MS program, for which you can apply after you obtain your B.Tech/B.E. degree. IIT Dharwad’s MS program is equivalent to any other M.Tech program. However, unlike most M.Tech programmes, the emphasis is more on research with flexible duration.  The duration of the programme is a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of up to 3 years.

Some salient features of the degree programme are:

     1.  This programme will give you a good opportunity to explore a research area thoroughly.

   2.  Armed with this degree, you can then make an informed choice of your further career plan, be it working in the industry or pursuing further research and applying for a Ph.D. degree.

   3. The department has well-equipped laboratories for research purposes. Highly sophisticated research facilities like OpalRT real-time simulator,  microgrid, high-performance computers, network analyzer,  etc. are available. Basic software-defined radios (SDRs), advanced SDRs supporting 4G LTE protocol stack, DSP kits, and Deep learning server are available for research purposes.

The duration of the degree is flexible, minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 3 years.
